TOPIC: Collab doesn't work with MODX 2.6+

Collab doesn't work with MODX 2.6+ 2 years 2 months ago #392

For some reason the Collab Theme doesn't work display properly with MODX 2.6 and up. 2.5.8 works just fine. The issue is the entire web site and images are no longer restrained to their proper place but instead stretch out to take up the whole browser window. If you take the web site full screen, as an example, it makes the entire web site look horrible. Why would upgrading MODX do that?

I've been stuck with staying on 2.5.8 ever since. I even tried 2.6.3 and it does the same thing.

OK, for everyone who has this issue, I have solved the problem. In "Resources" under "Themes" is the colour of your choice and in there is where you set your basic template setup. Click your colour you are using. Under TV (Template Variables) and under "Mdx_Layout_Config" is where your "Main Content Layout Width" is located. But that number is no longer recognized. It's broken as of MODx 2.6.

The solution is to go into the "mdx_CSS" which is just a little further up the TV list, and put in a Custom CSS piece of code at the top:

.site-width{max-width:1140px; margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;}

1140px being whatever you have set your maximum width to.

You site should now look the way it did before. So far, I don't see any other issues with 2.6.3 and Collab but I don't use all the features either. So YMMV.

ps. I did encounter a strange "Code: 0 communication error undefined" error after updating to 2.6.3 but it only happened once and I don't know what caused it.
